Cornelia Pesendorfer
(born and resident in Austria), musician and ethnologist. Pesendorfer studied Viennese oboe, jazz singing, cultural and social anthropology as well as musicology. She is the conductor of the Viennese women’s choir “Die Chornissen”. Pesendorf is a singer -songwriter in the area of world/ pop music, and an instrumentalist in classical orchestras as well as in jazz ensembles, Brazilian and African bands. She has worked with improvised music for many years. She has conceived and implemented interdisciplinary projects, held lectures and published on music in southernAfrica. She was project leader for “Return to the planet of People”, an interdisciplinary Gesamtkunstwerk in which music, theater, film and the sciences are interlinked. Pesendorfer was responsible for the concept development, organization and direction of the symposium “Zambezi River Music”. An encounter with the music of southern Africa” at the Center for Contemporary music at Danube university Krems.
Works: African Suite for oboe, clarinet, cello, electric violin, subbass recorder, Fantasy for three voices, piano, guitar, bass, djembe, balaphone, Zambezi for piano, oboe and cello.

Cristiana Polegri
(Roma, 21 Giugno 1971), sassofonista, cantante, autrice di testi e musiche. Studia pianoforte con Liliana Marinuzzi e sassofono alla scuola “Saint Louis” e alla “Scuola Popolare di Musica di Testaccio ”. Si diploma in sassofono presso il Conservatorio “Licinio Refice”di Frosinone. Nel 1998 lavora nelle orchestre televisive come cantante e sassofonista e collabora con Barbara Eramo, Susanna Stivali e Silvia Manco. Il suo primo album da solista è “Bindinjazz” dedicato alla musica di Umberto Bindi . Si è esibita al “Catanzaro Jazz Festival”, alla “Palma Club” e ha ricevuto il premio “Roses Choice 2006”. La sua attività si muove tra musica, teatro, televisione e radio ma sicuramente la parte più importante è quella nel mondo musicale dove è presente sia come solista, sia come membro di big band. Lavora con le orchestre televisive come cantante e sassofonista e collabora con Barbara Eramo, Susanna Stivali e Silvia Manco. Il suo primo album da solista è stato “Bindinjazz”. Ha composto per questo CD ed inoltre è l‟autrice di diversi brani jazz-pop incluso: “Insicura”, “Mi scoppia la testa”, “Il fruscio del vento” ed “Aquiloni”. Per la radio è autrice della rubrica: “Storia della colonna sonora”.
Dana Cristina Probst
(born in 1961, in Bucharest, resident in Vienna) composer and a piano and music pedagogue. She studied composition with Anatol Vieru in Bucharest (1980-1984) and with Michael Jarrell in Vienna (1994-1995). Between 1984 and 1990 she taught piano at the Ploiesti Music school and later became university assistant in ethnomusicology at the University of Music in Bucharest (1990-1996). She has taught piano and music theory in Vienna since 1997. Her works are performed and broadcast regularly in Romania, Austria and Germany. Often described as intense and powerful and taking neo-modalism as its starting point, her music is characterized by linearity as well as its own harmonic language. Layers of various tempos, heterophony and non-tempered scales are continually present in her works.
