Anné Kulonen

Finnish born composer. She is also a sound designer and singer/songwriter working in commercials, film and TV. Her diverse musical output ranges from electronica to classical, ambient to jazz and vocal music to sound art. She works as a freelance composer for various music production companies around the world, from Europe to the Americas to Australasia. Her commercial projects have included: Ready Brek in the UK, Pan-European campaign for Epson, Ponds in China and Indonesia and National Lottery in New Zealand. Her other recent work includes the music for a series of 3 commercials for CGA Canada and the score for the film By Night, which was a finalist for the Berlin Today Award at the Berlin Film Festival. In addition to her film and TV work she has created electronic music scores for award winning contemporary dance performances and composed music for theatre. Anné also creates some more personal music as a singer/songwriter under the name 'Anei'. These songs draw inspiration from her Nordic ethnicity.

Merja Kokkonen (Islaja)

(born in 1979 in Helsinki, Finland), composer, singer-sonwriter and musician. Besides her solo career, she is a member of free improve and psych folk bands Avarus, Kemialliset Ystävät, and the trio Hertta Lussu Ässä. She has been compared to an acid folk version of Björk, a female Syd Barrett, and to Nico. Her music is notably psychedelic and very intimate using a large variety of instruments. Her solo music is often rather ethnic; sounding African, Middle Eastern and less easily categorized styles can be heard.

Maria Kallionpää

(born in 1981, in Ulvila, Finland, resident in Oxford and Salzburg), composer. She has a DPhil in composition at the University of Oxford, a postgraduate degree in electro acoustic composition from Universität fur Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien in 2010. She has a Bachelor of Music degree in Performing Arts (piano) from the University of Applied Sciences in Jyväskylä, Finland 2007. She was a composer in residence of the Musician Society in the Turku European Culture Capital 2011 project. She has performed the final stage at the Tenso European Chamber choir Composition competition 2011. She performed as a pianist and composer in a Schumann memorial concert (electro acoustic works) at Musik Verein Wien in 2010.
