La musique au Cid-femmes
La bibliothèque publique du Cid-femmes a été créée en 1992 et contient quelque 20 000 livres et périodiques (dont 800 rien que dans la rubrique musique), 4500 cd (1 500 avec des oeuvres de compositrices), 3500 partitions ainsi que diverses archives concernant des musiciennes et compositrices luxembourgeoises. Le sujet femme et musique est ainsi une des priorités du Cid-femmes.
Les Archives Helen Buchholtz au Cid-femmes
En 1998 la musicologue Danielle Roster découvrit l'oeuvre posthume - portée disparue - de la compositrice. Depuis 2003 celle-ci est accessible au public dans les Archives Helen Buchholtz. A côté de documents biographiques, on y trouve 250 partitions manuscrites.
Les Archives Lou Koster au Cid-femmes
Cid-femmes gère également les archives Lou Koster, une autre compositrice luxembourgeoise (documents biographiques, documents audio-visuels et 450 partitions).
Le centre anime les travaux d'archives avec des concerts, des productions de cd, des publications et des projets musicologiques et pédagogiques.
Music at Cid-femmes
The Cid-femmes public library hosts 20,000 books and magazines (800 of which are exclusively dedicated to music), 4500 CDs (1500 with works from women composers), 3500 music scores as well as a number of different archives dedicated to Luxembourg women musicians and composers. Needless to say that the domain women and music is one of the main priorities of the Cid-femmes.
The Helen Buchholtz Archive at Cid-femmes in 1998, the musicologist Danielle Roster discovered the musical heritage of composer Helen Buchholtz, heritage which up until then was believed to be lost. These compositions have been available to the public in the Helen Buchholtz Archive since 2003. This archive comprises many biographical documents, as well as 250 manuscript musical scores
The Lou Koster Archive at Cid-femmes Cid-femmes also hosts an archive of another Luxemburgish composer: Lou Koster (biographical documents, archives of photographs, many audio documents as well as 429 musical scores) Cid-femmes give life to the archives by organising concerts, producing CDs and other publications as well as initiating or participating in academic and pedagogical projects.
