Deniz Arat
Composer was born in Tekirdag, Turkey, 1978. She started her musical education in 1996 at the İzmir Anatolian High School of Fine Arts. She was accepted at the Bilkent University, Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, Department of Theory-Composition with a scholarship. Throughout her university education, she gave ear training and theory lessons at Bilkent University Early Music Training Program. In 2002 she attained a certificate program based on seminars involving "implemented musical formation" under the supervision of Prof. Odette Gartenlaub. After her graduation she was accepted to Istanbul Technical University, Centre for Advanced Studies in Music (MIAM) for a master degree in composition. In 2006 she completed her studies and started giving lectures at Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Art and Design, Department of Music and Performing Arts. She writes music with acoustic and electro-acoustic materials. Currently she is working on her Ph.D. in composition at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State The conservatory Istanbul-Turkey.
Edith Alonso
Was born in Madrid in 1974. Composer and sound artist, studied Electroacoustic and instrumental composition in Paris. PhD in arts, sciences and technologies at University Saint-Denis-Vincennes (Paris) and University Complutense (Madrid). She won the SACEM price at the end of her electroacoustic composition studies, and received grants of the French Ministry of Research and the Spanish Ministry of Foreign affaires. She has been commissioned by RNE (Spanish National Radio) and CDMC (Center for contemporary music, Spain) and she has also represented Spain in the TIME (International Tribune of electroacoustic music of UNESCO).
Edith Alonso Sánchez
(born 1974 in Madrid, Spain) composer and sound artist. She studied Electroacoustic and instrumental composition in Paris. She has obtained a PhD in arts, sciences and technologies at the University Saint-Denis-Vincennes (Paris) and the Complutense University (Madrid). She has been commissioned by RNE (Spanish National Radio) and CDMC (Center for contemporary music, Spain) and she has also represented Spain in the TIME (International Tribune of electroacoustic music of UNESCO). Her compositions have been performed at numerous international festivals, including the International Computer Music Conferences of Belfast and Montreal, the XXIV Festival de Alicante de Música Contemporánea, SIMC (París), Synthèse (Bourges) and others in Portugal, Spain, Columbia, Argentina, Germany, Sweden, South Korea, Cuba, Costa Rica and Mexico. She has also collaborated with other media, including film and dance, as well as sound installations.

Awards: She won the SACEM price at the end of her electroacoustic composition studies, and received grants of the French Ministry of Research and the Spanish Ministry of Foreign affaires. As a composer she received several distinctions and prizes: winner of Madrid Abierto competition 2008, honorable mention in Pauline Oliveros Prize 2010, nominated in the Prix Europe competition 2009, and honorable mention in the “Hablar en Arte” competition 2009.
