Véronique Wilmart
(born in 1958, Paris), composer, improviser. She studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris from 1975 to 1985. She received prizes in theory, harmony, counterpoint, fugue, composition, orchestration, electroacoustic composition and musical research in the class of Guy Reibel in 1985. She studied piano with Vlado Perlemuter and Marcelle Heuclin. She wrote Shopping interruption and Miroirs (festival Présence of Radio France commission), as well as numerous works for GRCOP (Groupe de Recherche Chorégraphique de l’Opéra de Paris), ONJ (Orchestre National de Jazz), Philippe Decouflé, Andrew Degroat, Blanca Li, Raphaëlle Delaunay, Marie-Agnès Gillot, David Drouard. In 2008-2009, she wrote «Les impressions électroacoustiques» for the show «Le Cabaret de France Musique». Véronique Wilmart Improvises in various formations with Jean-François Zygel, Médéric Collignon, Andy Emler, Jean-Luc Fillon, Louis Sclavis, Jean-Paul Céléa, François Moutin, Louis Moutin, Michel Portal, Carlo Rizzo, Philippe Garcia, Jean-Charles Richard, etc. and performs regularly with Antoine Hervé and his group “Pierre et Marie Tuerie”. She captures the sound material that she carves, creating elusive atmospheres arising from asymmetric loops composed and decomposed live.

Welly Wright
(born in Vienna, resident in Vienna), composer. Wright grew up in the Vienna of the swinging fifties, and she received her initial training as a dancer from New York Jazz choreographer Conrad Pringle. She spent the 1960s largely in Europe and the USA. In 1975, she married alto saxophonist Leo Wright (member of the bands of Dizzy Gillespie, Charles Mingus and others) in Berlin. The two of them then founded the band Leo Wright & Friends! She studied classical voice with Hope Foy in Berlin, attended jazz courses at the Berklee College of Music, Boston and with Sheila Jordan, Bobby McFerrin, Rudi Wilfer and others. She returned to Vienna in 1981 and now teaches voice at Schubert Conservatory in Vienna as well as in Pulawy, Poland, at Forum Alpbach, in Wiener Neustadt, in Timisoara and elsewhere. Since 1984, she has collaborated with the Erwin Schmidt Trio, with which she has also recorded LPS and CDs. Her own composition Reminiscing was included in the music documentation of the Austrian National Library in Vienna.
