Margaret Lucy Wilkins’
Born in England in 1939, musical career embraces composing, lecturing, performing and writing. Between 1976 and 2003, she was Principal Lecturer in Music at the University of Huddersfield, UK, where she was Head of Composition. Performances of her music have been given in most European countries, the Americas, China, South Korea and Russia. Festival performances include ISCM World Music Days (Poland and Slovenia), Donne in Musica (Italy), Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival and Edinburgh International Festival. Her works explore spatial elements and music theatre, displaying a strong dramatic, gestural and visual approach to sound. They include orchestral works as Musica Angelorum (1991) and Rituelle (2000), chamber music works as Trompettes de Mort (2002), and electroacustic works as Stringsing (1992) and Discover Oakwell (1995).
Marietta Wandall
(born in 1956, in Copenhagen) piano player, composer and music teacher. She has released four Compact Discs with her own compositions for saxophone and piano (Hanne Rømer/Marietta Wandall Duo). In addition she has composed for big bands and classical quartet.

Awards: first prize for a big band composition ordered by the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen 1996.

Norma Winstone
(Londra), cantante, compositrice e didatta. Ha lavorato al “Ronnie Scott Club” con Roland Kirk. Iniziò cantando standard jazz, ma presto s’interessò all’uso“strumentale”della voce. Premiata nel 1971 come migliore cantante nel concorso indetto da Melody Maker, ha registrato il suo primo album“Edge of Time”considerato un cult. Con John Taylor e Kenny Wheeler ha creato il trio“Azymuth”. Il loro cd “How it was Then… Never Again”, uscito nel 1995, ha ricevuto le quattro stelle da Down Beat. Il cd “Well Kept Secret”, ha ricevuto, ancora una volta, le quattro stelle di Down Beat. E’ stata docente per molte cantanti jazz in Italia. Di prossima uscita “Chamber Music” in trio con il sassofonista Klaus Gesing e il pianista Glauco Venier.
