Beatrice Lasio
(Taranto 22 febbraio 1961), violinista, compositrice, didatta. Residente a Roma dal 1991, si è diplomata in violino nel Conservatorio di Cagliari nel 1983 con Renato Giangrandi e ha lavorato nell’orchestra dell’Ente Lirico di Cagliari fino al 1987. Si è poi dedicata all’insegnamento musicale nella scuola media statale e dal 2004 è docente di violino nella scuola media M. L. King di Roma. Ha studiato canto gregoriano con Giacomo Baroffio e nel 1995 si è diplomata in didattica della musica presso il Conservatorio Santa Cecilia di Roma. Dopo ha studiato musica elettronica al Conservatorio Ottorino Respighi di Latina con Roberto Donati e Francesco Galante, ed al Conservatorio di Musica Alfredo Casella dell’Aquila con Michelangelo Lupone, diplomandosi nel 2002. Dal 2000 ha partecipato, come compositrice di brani acusmatici, a varie manifestazioni musicali, quali “La Terra Fertile” dell’Aquila, il “XIV CIM” presso la Rai di Firenze, i concerti di “Musica Verticale” di Roma, il “Festival Zeppelin” di Barcellona, “Arte Scienza” del CRM di Roma (2004, 2006), i concerti della “CIME” a Lisbona (festival “Musica Viva” 2004) e a Bourges (festival “Synthèse” 2007). Nel 2008 Beatrice Lasio ha realizzato “Hana”, la prima personale installazione sonora, esposta alla fiera-festival “RisonanzExpo” di Pescara e presso il Conservatorio di Musica dell’Aquila, nell’ambito della manifestazione “La viltà del rifiuto, il coraggio della scelta”.
Birgitta Lovén
(1933, resident Stockholm, Sweden) is a pianist, composer and arranger. She studied piano with Gottfried Boon, Sven Brandel and Paul Shilhavsky and graduated from Mozarteum, Salzburg and the Roayl College of Music in Stockholm. She studied conducting with Siegfrid Naumann and obtained a musical leader degree. Lovén grew up in a musical family with a mother who was a concert pianist and her grandfather who was a composer, which influenced her a lot. Her composing began in her early childhood when she wrote small pieces in the romantic style and later in an impressionistic and expressionistic style. She studied with Sven-Eric Bäck, Söderholm, Udden, Melchers and later with Vagn Holmboe and Sándor Veress, with Veress at the conservatory in Bern. She wrote songs, ballads and piano compositions in a tonal style. She is an accompanist and rehearser at Dramaten along with other theaters in Stockolm. She has worked as a pedagogue as well as a musical director at Gävle Statsteater for example. Her debut as a soloist was under the baton of Siegfrid Naumann. Some of her songs and poems are published by Rabén & Sjögren in the publication Visor och Romanser till text av Harald Forss. In 1996 her orchestral work Holstamp, original written for piano, was premiered under the baton of Glenn Mossop. Holstamp is a work Lovén wrote when she was young but she elaborated it much later in life. She rewrote another early piece for choir, Ave Maria, 1956/1994 which was premiered in 1999 by Hedvig Eleonoras chamber choir and Per Fridberg conductor.
