Alicja Gronau

Alicja Gronau (1957, Warsaw, Poland) graduated in theory of music, composition and undertook Postgraduate Studies in Music Theory at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. At present she is Ph.Dr.Ha in FCUM in the Chair of Composition, and head of the Polish Contemporary Music Laboratories. Her musical works have been awarded many prizes at home and abroad and are often performed during festivals and concerts. Her didactic and scientific activity is concentrated on creative teaching, the Dalcroze Method, integrated education, complete music analysis, musical-movement analysis, studies in 20th century music, compositional workshop and technique. She is co-authoress of two books as well as of many lectures and publications. She was a guest professor at Warsaw University, Zielona Góra University, Pomeranian Pedagogical Academy, Podlaski University as well as Iasi University of Arts (Romania), International Theatre Institute (Munchen, Germany), Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, University of Santiago (Chile), Conservatorio Superior de Música „Manuel Castillo”, Sevilla (Spain).
