Maria Andreou
(born in Cyprus, resident in Nicosia, Cyprus) composer. She holds a Bachelor in Music degree (BMus-University of Hull-UK), MA in Music (University of York-Uk), PhD (University of YORK), and a diploma in Drama (Vladimiros Kafkarides School of Drama School- Cyprus).

María de Alvear
(born 1960 in Madrid, Spain) composer, performer and singer. She studied music in Spain and in Germany: harpischord, organ, piano, conducting and composition. Since 1998 she has regulary collaborated with her sister Ana de Alvear (visual artist), who has created photographic installations for her music. Alvear´s work is interactive and based on a knowledge of energy connections. She performs and sings in her own pieces. Some of her pieces are based on themes that are taboo to our Western way of thinking, provoking vehement debates and interesting interactions as a response to her work. Otherwise, her work has been very influenced by the trips she has made to different aboriginal nations in USA and Russia while looking for the inner essence of music and trying to understand the roots of musical development and her conviction on the sounds combinations can work on our state of mind.

María de Arcos Rus
(born in Sevilla, Spain) composer, pianist, teacher and music therapist. She studied Piano (1992), music theory, transpose and accompanying (1994), and harmony, counterpoint, composition and instrumentation (1996) at the Conservatorio Superior de Sevilla. She undertook training in piano performance, composition and computer music. In 2001 at the University of Seville she presented a research work about atonality and experimentalism and in 2003 her doctoral thesis “Aplicación del lenguaje atonal a la musica cinematográfica” with a rating of Sobresaliente cum laude. In 2006 she published the monograph “Experimentalismo en la música cinematográfica”. Since 2006 she has participated in a research project in Onco-hematology at the Hospital infantil Virgen del Rocío de Sevilla as a music therapist.
